Pepcid Two Why Does Heartburn Sometimes Come Back 1-2 Hours After Taking An Antacid?

Why does heartburn sometimes come back 1-2 hours after taking an antacid? - pepcid two

A new TV commercial for Pepcid Complete, with two boys. A kind of Pepcid for acid and forever disappear. The other man Tums or Rolaids and still more tablets, every few hours to take advantage, as you always heartburn.

My wife and I usually use Mylanta Supreme Liquid, if each of us heartburn. It is the strongest anti-acid, but he knows well and has no chemicals, such as aluminum or magnesium. Sometimes, the heartburn always disappear after a single dose. Other times it is one or two hours later - in the commercial and Pepcid.

Does anyone know why sometimes there are heartburn, even after taking the medicine? Any tips on how to (a return in addition to a higher consumption of drugs) to prevent?

  1. Pepcid Complete, two things really a drug. The first is an antacid that neutralizes acid in the stomach once and the second actually from acid production. Its acidity is not really back, stomach acid production remains, there is simply no longer antacids to neutralize their effects. Well, not very strong, but a different type of medication is different work.

If you have heartburn so bad that you should really consider trying to FIFO or Prilosec. Do not eat large meals.
